Our client, a wholly-owned Irish company based in Shannon, is offering an exciting new opportunity for a Transport Administrator to join their team.

This role will report directly to the Transport Manager and will be responsible for ensuring the accurate administration of all transport activities in accordance with company procedures.

 

Role & Responsibilities

• Vehicle Preventative Maintenance and Annual Testing Scheduling

• Vehicle regulation compliance under CVRT and ADR Legislation

• Vehicle defect management system maintenance

• Tanker allocation for delivery

• Planning and scheduling of multi-drop customer deliveries

• Fleet utilization – Optimization of all vehicle usage

• Daily logistical review to ensure route optimization and to ensure all delivery timelines are met.

• Ad hoc Transport Administration Duties

 

Knowledge & Skills

Transport Manager CPC qualification/Certificate in Business in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or a similar qualification is desirable.

Minimum 5 years' experience working in a similar role.

• Extensive geographical knowledge of Ireland

• Attention to detail is essential in this job, as the person will be working under their own supervision much of the time.

• Experience of transport solutions to improve company efficiencies would be beneficial.

• Computer & Analytical Skills, including MS Office (especially Excel)

• Self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative

• Ability to ensure all deadlines are met, with excellent organization skills

• Excellent Communication and Influencing Skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team, both on-site and in other company locations
